Nothin But the Blues

The hit stage play "Nothin But the Blues" returned by popular demand for an afternoon matinee and evening play performance in February of 2022 at the New Black Wallstreet in Stonecrest, Georgia. The production is planning a dinner theatre performance to be announced at a later time.

The play takes place at “Da Club” located in the heart of a city in the South. The new manager “Big D” is challenged to make “Da Club” a successful business venture in the midst of a changing music scene and shifting demographic. The owner, Mr. Agee, threatens to close it down if “you don’t get some people in here!!!” So, the small lively and comical staff tries everything to make it work by connecting generational music genres from Mo-Town to Disco to Neo Soul, and eventually reviving the prominent Blues Club of the past by bringing back the featured headliner “Bettye” to save "Da Club" and make “a change!”

The cast consists of regional and local headliners and will feature members from the audience as performers. “Nothin But the Blues” just completed a highly successful performance run on October 2nd and 3rd to capacity audience's for each show. The overwhelmingly positive response has created a demand for a BLACK BY POPULAR DEMAND inaugural performance.

The Unity Production Group strives to provide an exciting experience complete with a delicious full course meal, live music, dance, and interactive audience involvement, which makes for a fun and uplifting evening for everyone.
